Canucks In Game: Try out the twins on the PK

http://www.thehockeynews.com/imgs/dynamique/photos/original/article_10536_2.jpgI’ve counted three scoring chances on this last penalty kill.

CBJ scores off of a big rebound from Luongo.

Maybe try the Sedin twins on the penalty kill? They were stellar under Crawford.

Back to that goal, it was a nice save by Luongo on the initial tip-in try, but he had a chance to stay with that rebound.

But, in Alex Auldian fashion, he commited to the butterfly and Derek Dorsett was able to step around him for his first career goal.

I guess my plan of Luongo shutting the door the rest of the way isn’t panning out like I thought it might.

Maybe the offence will still come around.

Edit: One again, John Garret was right, where was the defence? I mean, it was Derek Dorsett, but on a team that’s supposed to be grittier, he was left with much too much time in front of Luongo.

Update: Good guys get one early in third

This is what they need to give them some time to tie this one up.

Kevin Bieksa probably, at the very least just guaranteed himself a star in this game, he’s had a couple other chances too.

An assist will give him the Gordie Howe hat-trick.

KESLER HOW DID YOU MISS THAT?!!!

Update: A typical Sedin shift

The Twins, Bernier, Bieksa and Mitchell just had what looked like a great shift. Lots of possession and a scoring chance.

Problem is, Daniel put it right in the logo of Leclaire, which is becoming a recurring theme for the “scoring” twin.

Being a long time Canuck fan, I’ve seen way too many of these 1:30 minute Sedin shifts that never make of anything.

Update: Coming close…

….but this looks too much like a reminition of last year. So many chances, so little finish. The Canucks probably have the best knack I’ve ever seen for making an opposing goalie look amazing.
